It was the night before, I was talking to Nana on the phone.
Came up with a plan to cook our own lunch the next day!
All was well, she picked me up and we went to do some marketing early in the morning.
When you were all still in dreamland. ![]()
Felt so dumb there cause there were so many things we were unsure of.
But the people were really nice and helpful.
Maybe cause they hardly see young people around in the market hor?

Spotted this shop in the market..
PREPARATION;
Gotta wash/soak everything first. Must make sure our food is the cleanest available!
Grandma always say the people spray all those stuff to make them grow rapidly,
so we started off by soaking the red and green chillies.
Nana cleaned and washed the chicken we bought worth RM 6.70.
Oh, and our total cost for this whole thing is only RM 20.00
RM 2.00 worth of vege.
Prawns worth RM 2.20.

As the paste for our GREEN CURRY. We could have easily used the blender but nope. We chose to use the traditional method; mortar and pastel. Cause it's supposed to taste better that way.
Green chilli, shallots, garlic, ketumbak powder and lots more.
And she said it had to be really fine.
The product looks really gross I know, but it was what made our curry delicious!
In the meantime, other stuff were being prepared too.
So when all was ready, it was time for the next part!

COOKING;
1. Green Curry with Chicken

The most important ingredient; santan.
This dish was a success! It's damn ho chiak, to us at least.

Of course lah, see who's cooking it.
2. Glass Noodles with Prawns.
This didn't work that well cause the I didn't read the recipe I printed properly.
It says that we're supposed to bake the noodles in the oven (I don't have one).
So what to do? Improvise!

I like this picture, she looks so pro.
Sadly, this dish was rather tasteless so we started all sorts to it.
We also added sesame oil and a few others.
Still can't really work so last option was AJINOMOTO!
3. Omelette
4. Fried vegetable
We then invited our special guest of the day; Miss Con!
She bought us rice btw, we were too lazy to cook that.

While we were preparing dessert, something unfortunate happened.
We were actually trying to separate the lychee from the drink.
So I was holding the jug and the handle broke.
This wasn't part of the plan but oh well, things are unpredictable!
Moving on, next part.
EATING;
Ahh, after the whole morning of work, finally time to feast.
Hmm, overall not bad la to me.
And it looks good also right?

CLEANING & WASHING;
We had tonnes of plates and pots to wash but then again, Connie to the rescue!
It was fun and we plan to do it again sometime. Just exclude the getting injured part. Hmm.
Other than that, all's good! And most importantly, two good housewives in the making.
