Short trip to Bangkok last December
Of course, like any other tourist, the first thing was to check in the hotel. We stayed in Pathumwan Princess, which is directly connected to MBK (a shopping mall I was very excited to go to before the trip!).
Somewhere near the reception
The view from the elevator
Crossing the river to go to Wat Arun.

Just like any other tourist attraction, I'm sure Wat Arun has an interesting story behind it. I did read up that time but but...I don't know anything now! All I remember is that you can climb up all the way to the top, which I obviously didn't. I did rent a Thai costume though. If you look closely at the photo below, you would have noticed that thing on my head was so heavy it was gonna fall off of anytime.
Wat Arun and I
Next destination: Wat Pho
If I remember correctly, this is just across the river from Wat Arun. Hence, the boat ride earlier. Oh wait, that means I visited this place first. Lol, excuse the sequence.
At the entrance of Wat Pho
Oh ya, this temple offers authentic Thai massage too. And they have a giant reclining Buddha in the temple. Okay this is making sense. According to the ever reliable google, Wat Pho=Temple of the Reclining Buddha.
Part of the temple where people drop coins for luck (I think).
Next destination: The Grand Palace
At the entrance, there will be this dress check to ensure that everyone who enters are dressed appropriately. Apparently, I wasn't and had to change into a huge shirt they offered. Despite the trouble, this place is amazing!
This place is left me in awe. It was really nice. Everything was so precisely built. And it's HUGE. Seriously. We didn't manage to visit the entire place cause we had other plans. I think if you dedicate one day for this place then you'll get to see and read everything about it.

Another part of the palace.

This picture definitely did not do justice to that wall. The gold part looks way better than this.
Next destination: Siam Paragon

I suppose this is Bangkok's most famous shopping complex
Oh ya, we went somewhere near Christmas. Hence the decorations. We also visited places like Bangkok's China Town (Yaowarat) and a few other malls. Not forgetting, the food was great! For people who fancy Thai food like me, this is definitely a food heaven.
