Thomas Cup
Hello all. First up, look below :
I've SURVIVED exactly one week of exams!
Just like everyone else, of course.
I'm so glad! 4 more days, w/ 6 more papers.
Imagine next friday. Phewwwitt*
Today, we had BM Paper 2 and Chemistry 1.
& got to know Add Maths marks today.
It was by far the hardest of all but I'm satisfied with my marks ;)

Okay, the topic of the day is SEMI FINALS of the THOMAS CUP 2008 in Jakarta.
Malaysia vs China
Took some pictures from TV while watching.
Imagine being sued for that. Lol.
Malaysian team as well as the China Team.

First match ; Lee Chong Wei(2) vs Lin Dan(1)
Chong Wei managed to nail it in straight sets.
I was rather surprised, honestly.
I thought it would be China to win this match.
Chong Wei however managed to beat the World No.1
Happy happy*
& that gives Malaysia a 1-0 lead against defending champions China.
Next up; Koo Kien Kiet-Tan Boon Heong vs Cai Yun-Fu Haifeng.
Not so sure of the spellings and rankings. Too lazy to check.
After the first match, I had confidence M'sia would probably be able to sail through to the finals.
Especially when I had high hopes for this second match.

They went down in straight sets. What a disappointment.
In my opinion, it would be pretty much Kien Kiet's fault.
Of course, in a game like this no one is to be blamed.
But it's pretty obvious all the errors from the first game were coming from him.
When I went tuition later the day I heard the guys talking.
And they were like 'yor beh tahan kien kiet la'
I bet if they were at their best performance like how they used to be,
they would definitely put up a good fight against the Chinese pair.
Then, M'sia will have a very high chance to qualify for the Finals.
Oh and by the way, Kien Kiet drives Mercedez. Haha.
Third game; Wong Choong Hann(14) vs Bao Chunlai(3)
No offence but before this game even started, I knew Bao Chunlai would win.
Anyhow, Choong Hann managed to put up a fight in the first game.
Second however, he started to trail behind.
I suspect that he ran out of energy already in the second game.
For him being a veteran player.
So yeah.. No doubts Bao Chunlai won in straight sets as well.
I used to think of him as one good-looking guy.
But there's just something wrong with his hair today! Haha.

Malaysia was 1-2 down at that time.
Fourth match surprisingly turned out GOOD.
Choong Tan Fook-Lee Wan Wah weren't fielded to play in this second doubles though.
I guess its due to Wan Wah's injury?
Mohd. Zakry-Mohd Ta-something was up against Idk their names. Haha.
And the Malaysian duo managed to steal a point for M'sia.
Score was tie at 2-2.
So it all comes down to the final match;
Hafiz Hashim(22) vs Chen Jin(4)
Hafiz lost the first game.He made plenty of errors.
Either hitting into the net or smashing out of court.
Both equally bad.
In the second he was leading at I-forgot-what,
but Chen Jin managed to catch up and later won the match.
Chen Jin, the World Junior Champ's play was admirable.
He is so fast. Left to right front to back.
No problem at all for him.
Not good enough.
